Abstract: The project consists of a design and sizing of a transmission line sectioning scheme in the Campo Dos Station, with the aim of providing a configuration that allows the station to be fed from any direction, either from the K30 Station or the Colonel Station Oviedo, which will give the Campo Dos Station greater reliability before an off-line service, due to failure or maintenance. For the resolution of the problem raised, the technical criteria to be taken into account in this work were defined. Such criteria are basically based on the solution being technically feasible, physical space available, need of moving of equipment, minimal interruption in service during construction and operating conditions for maintenance. Once these criteria were established, three bar configuration alternatives were proposed for a transmission line sectioning scheme, such as Single Bar, Double Bar and Main Bar with Transfer Bar. After an analysis of technical and economic feasibility of all proposed alternatives, it was concluded that the Simple Bar configuration is the most favorable, the one that best suits the established criteria. Finally, the final design and sizing of all the equipment involved in the new configuration and also a detailed budget was carried out. As a result there is a new configuration of the bar that will improve the reliability of the station since the transmission line can be sectioned with the new configuration.
